THE MY WHIPPLE JOURNEY PROJECT

Everything In One Place.

A growing recovery system for people navigating pancreatic cancer, the Whipple procedure and life after surgery.

Twelve practical recovery books. A personal recovery dashboard. Tracking tools. Educational resources. And, over time, the real experiences of people walking the same road.

WHY THIS PROJECT EXISTS

The Information Is Everywhere.
The System Wasn't.

After a Whipple procedure, patients are often dealing with many different pieces at the same time — food, digestion, hydration, weight, movement, blood work, symptoms, appointments and the everyday challenge of rebuilding life.

My Whipple Journey began with a simple question: what if the practical information a patient needs could be brought together in one place?

What started as one person's recovery story is becoming a growing resource: books to learn from, tools to use, a dashboard to record your journey, and a structured way to turn information into daily action.

The goal is not to replace your doctors or treatment team. The goal is to help patients and families feel less overwhelmed by the amount of information they have to navigate.

THE RECOVERY SYSTEM

Learn. Apply. Record. Review.

The project is being built around a simple idea: information is most useful when it can become part of your everyday recovery. Each resource is designed to connect with the dashboard and your own recovery record.

01

Read

Understand the recovery topic through a focused, practical resource.

02

Apply

Turn useful information into realistic actions that fit your own life.

03

Record

Use the dashboard to keep track of the parts of recovery that matter to you.

04

Review

Look back at your journey, identify patterns and prepare better questions for your care team.

THE RECOVERY LIBRARY

THE DASHBOARD

Your Journey.
Your Record.

The books explain the anchors. The dashboard is where your own journey starts to come together.

Record the things you want to remember, see your information in one place and build a personal recovery history that can grow with you. The dashboard is being developed as the practical centre of the My Whipple Journey system.

Meals & Nutrition Record what you eat and build a history of your daily meals.
Hydration Keep your hydration information alongside the rest of your day.
Blood Work Bring blood-test results and important markers into one organised record.
Movement Record activity and follow your movement over time.
Symptoms Capture changes and experiences that are easy to forget between appointments.
Recovery History Build a timeline of your journey instead of trying to remember everything later.

OUR GOALS

Build The Resource We Wish Existed.

The long-term vision is bigger than a book. It is a connected, practical resource for patients and families navigating the many parts of life before and after a Whipple.

Bring It Together

Reduce the feeling of having to search in dozens of places by bringing recovery information, books, tools and personal records together.

Make It Practical

Turn information into things a real person can understand, record, discuss and revisit during everyday recovery.

Keep It Growing

Continue adding resources, patient experiences, educational material and improvements as the project develops.

Share Freely

Keep the core recovery resources accessible so that cost does not become another barrier for someone already facing a difficult journey.

Learn From Patients

Over time, create a respectful place where real experiences can help others understand that recovery can look different from one person to another.

Support The Journey

Build a sustainable project through books, voluntary support and the people who believe this information should continue to grow.

THE COMMUNITY WILL GROW FROM HERE

First Build The System.
Then Build The Stories.

The first priority is creating a useful foundation that a patient can actually use. As the dashboard and recovery library grow, the community can grow around them — not as another social-media feed, but as a place for meaningful patient experiences and practical lessons.

Our Journeys Real patient experiences organised around the parts of recovery people are actually trying to understand.
Patient Stories A growing collection of experiences that can remind someone else that they are not the only person walking this road.
Shared Learning Lessons, questions and practical experiences that can complement — never replace — professional medical care.

A NOTE ABOUT MEDICAL INFORMATION

My Whipple Journey is a personal recovery project and educational resource. The books, dashboard, stories and other materials are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or individual medical advice. Recovery can be different for every person. Medical decisions, medications, tests and treatment plans should be discussed with the appropriate qualified healthcare professionals.

THE VISION

One Place.
One Journey At A Time.

What began as one person's attempt to make sense of recovery is being built into a resource that can grow with the people who use it. Twelve books. A recovery dashboard. Practical tools. Real stories. One place to begin.
